How to EnterEntry for the PPS Awards 2019 isn't open just yet. Sign up to the newsflashes at PreschoolNews.net and you'll be kept informed when entry is open.
In the meantime, here's how it works:
The Product Awards
Products are the heartbeat of the sector, and so there is only one way they can be judged; in person. Suppliers are invited to submit entries, totally free of charge. There can be up to 5 products in a range, but as many ranges as desired, and across multiple categories if suitable. These products must be new or significantly updated in the last calendar year (at the time of entry going live) and must be being sold at retail.
These products are then set up in exhibition form for an annual judging day. The panel judging them are major retail buyers, typically including notable buyers from: Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, The Entertainer, Mothercare, Boots, Bentalls, Primark, TK Maxx, and many, many more. This ensures products are judged, independently, by the very executives who sell them.
The Retail Awards
Of course without retailers, it'd be a lot harder to get that product into the hands of consumers. The PPS Awards celebrate retail both major and independent, online and bricks and mortar. Entries are sought by way of self-nomination and third party nomination. These entries are scrutinised by a panel of suppliers from all corners of the preschool sector - again giving total third party validation to the results.
The Marketing Award
This special award is judged on set parameters, and it is worth noting that the parameters do not ask for the budget behind it. Nominations are judged on measurable results, meaning that the success of the campaign is what counts, not the fees behind it.
